Open to KACH members ages 7 and up, our program brings the joy of theatre to the Katy community through two exciting productions each year. With registration opportunities in both August and January, everyone who signs up is guaranteed a role. If the student signs up to audition, they will receive a role on stage. We also have several students who sign up for crew - their roles are behind the scenes alongside many talented and amazing parent volunteers.

1. Junior Company: ages 7 - 11 years old
2. Senior Company: ages 12+ years old
3. Performing Hearts: all ages! 

The Junior and Senior companies meet at the same time during the semester, and perform at the same shows. The Junior company's show is the opening act for the Senior company. This division of the theatre companies allows for more age-appropriate instruction for our thespians and a greater opportunity for our younger thespians to shine in key roles.

Performing Hearts has its own signup each summer, when they meet weekly to practice their performances. Then, once a month throughout the program year, they gather to perform in senior residences, bringing smiles and joy to our Katy Community.

1. Crew Only: For students who want to contribute to the magic by working on sets, props, tech, and more.
2. Cast with a Volunteering Parent: The preferred, budget-friendly option that also gets parents involved in supporting the show.
3. Cast without a Volunteering Parent: This option is available for those who are unable to commit to volunteering, but it comes at a higher cost.

Our program, much like KACH itself, is entirely volunteer-driven. We encourage everyone to consider volunteering to keep the program affordable and to foster stronger community involvement. Our directors match volunteer roles to participants' strengths, just as they cast parts in the show, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to shine both on and off the stage.
